Well, it's finally happened. My editor has ripped the final manuscript of Consorts of the Red King from my obsessive-compulsive fingertips and deemed it worthy of publication. To allow time for me to work myself into a worrying frenzy, arrange promo, and get through GRL, Rocky Ridge Books is shooting for an October 26 release.
Stay tuned for more details!
I've been told there is no audience for MMM sci-fi, but the commenters on The Sentinel say otherwise.
This one's for y'all!
Not too long we were told there was no audience for SF romance at all. Or fantasy romance. I remember one author telling me online that she was just fine with the bookstores carrying "a few of the very best" of those weird SF/fantasy/whatever romances, the implication being that I should be happy about that? [huge freaking eyeroll]
ReplyDeleteThere'll always be people who don't get SF/fantasy/paranormal/whatever romance, and are unable to understand that other people might like things they themselves don't care for. Bleep 'em.
I'm looking forward to your new book, and I'll bet a lot of other folks are too. :)

Awww... Thank you! I couldn't understand when I was told that, because I comb through book listings in search of sci-fi! I do wish your Hidden Magic series was on audio.
DeleteThanks! I'd love to do audio, but that's a completely different project. I'm working on getting them back in print (electronic at first, then print-print) first. Once I have a handle on that, and have all my backlist up, I'll think about audio. I know some people who do it, but it's a huge learning curve. [flail] Eventually! :)

Let me know if you need help. I've done several audiobooks. While I'm not a pro by any means, I've learned a thing or two. I think A Hidden Magic would be fantastic narrated.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll keep that in mind. :)
